Airbnb Rebrand

MOTION DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

As a part of DesignStudio´s team I worked as motion designer and animator developing the majority of the animations included in the brand guidelines, as well as helping to visualize the new branding working on different moving media and exploring its motion possibilities.
Together with the design team, I built the structural (3D) version of the logo; a volumetric shape of the logo which in its frontal view looks exactly the same as the flat version. 

As a part of four team members visiting 13 cities, across four continents, I Travelled to New York, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba as an in-depth immersion process to fully understand the Airbnb community and brand; During the trip I met and interviewed the Airbnb´s local teams and many different hosts, as well as testing and experiencing Airbnb´s platform to get an insight which later on helped to drive the creative strategy.


DesignStudio´s Airbnb Rebrand has been awarded with 2 Cannes Lions, Creative Review Best in Book, European Design Awards and Brandemia  Best International Rebrand.
